- Eric Newell, Logan City School District, Northern Utah
- We welcome Eric Newell as he shares his journey from learning to paddle on Georgian Bay as a child to earning a PhD in experiential education. From guiding whitewater trips on Idaho’s Salmon River to developing curriculum-based outdoor programs in Utah public schools, Eric reflects on a career dedicated to teaching, leadership, and the transformative power of outdoor learning. Along the way, he’s taught nearly 5,000 students to paddle and row, authored a river guide, and contributed to Utah Public Radio’s Wild About Utah.
